Fun With The Grandparents...

While Dustin was gone to Honduras and Nicaragua, Gram and Pop decided to come hang out with us.  We had a great time visiting with them.  They were ALOT of help to me.  Despite the weather we managed to have a really good time.  I felt bad for them because Gram is so cold natured and it had been in the high 60's and some 70's and as soon as they got here it all changed.  It snowed off and on or rained, or both. It was cold and dreary most of the time they were here.  We did manage one pretty day and we decided to load up and go to the Zoo. We decided to go to the Pueblo Zoo.  Below are some pics of that. We had a fun time there and we were all pretty tired after that.  Pop, gram, and I managed to get in a few games of Hand and Foot. It was soooo great getting to play with them. I have missed that. Gram, the kiddos, and I met up with the Martinez's and the Wantuloks for a southern gospel singing with Legacy 5.  It was a good concert.  Poor pop wasnt feeling well and had stayed home.  I also have some pics from Easter.  I guess that is about all for now.

Just the Norm

It's been a while! I am trying to remember what all has happened since I last blogged and I have discovered that I am getting old because I have no clue.
I do recall last Sunday enjoying having our District Overseer and his family with us in church.  It was a great blessing to us all. They are great people and we love them very much.  Br. Jonathan preached a fantastic message.  After service we decided to go eat and after a few set backs we ended up at Red Top.  It was soooo yummy!  We had a great time fellowshipping and the kids had a little to much fun I think :)  Crazy kids!
We headed back to our house and sat around visiting  some more until the Smiths had to head back to Aurora for evening service. 
The rest of the week is just been the usual cooking, cleaning, laundry, and school.  Although I am thankful that I can stay at home and do these things for my family.  Isaac had REALLY began to read whole books.  He read a line the other day with out me around and said MOM I REALLY CAN READ!! He was sooo excited as was I.  He is doing so good in school and it makes me feel good that I am not a hinderance to his learning.  Aleah is doing great with her numbers, alphabet, and letter sounds. She already knows her colors and most of all the other stuff too but I just want to make sure she REALLY gets it.  Lillie well she is just Lillie. She knows all her colors as well. She enjoys doing school stuff right along with the other two.  She likes to write and color and be busy with something all the time.  I have some pretty great kids.
Tonight Dustin was playing a new game the kids got for Christmas called The Lady Bug game and you would not believe how my 29 yr old husband was acting because he was losing to our 4yr old daughter.  PITIFUL let me tell ya.  She would just sit over there and smile and smile while someone else was whining.  It was pretty great!
This Sunday is our shared service with Pueblo folks here in Springs.  Tomorrow afternoon the Wantuloks and the Lewis' are coming up to stay the night and hang out for the evening.  We have planned a cookout. I love having cookouts. And I love being with friends.  Well I guess I will say goodnight.

My Valentine

I had a GREAT Valentine's. It started with giving the kiddos and Dustin their candy baskets I made for them(forgot to take a pic). I also had a candy gram for Dustin.  I received red tulips(my favorite) and a red rose with a card. Dustin and Isaac also bought a red rose for each of the girls.  My flowers are BEAUTIFUL!!! (sorry havent taken a pic of them yet, camera died)

I made buttermilk pancakes for the family for breakfast then time to get the day started.  Dustin went to work and we started all kinds of stuff. I dont even remember what all we did.  Dustin and I had an at home date night planned so I kept all 3 kids up all day so early bed time. I cooked the kiddos a pizza for dinner and Lillie fell asleep in her chair.  I woke her up and she was begging for bed, but I managed to keep her awake till 7:30 then to bed they all went.  They were all asleep pretty quickly. I went up stairs and got dressed up and was told not to come down until he called. Dustin cooked me a FANTASTIC dinner which included Shrimp Scampi with bowtie pasta, fried green beans, cresent rolls, and for dessert grapes and chocolate covered strawberries.  It was all soooo yummy!  Dustin came to get me and he was dressed all up and brought me down stairs where I was seated at a table for a candlelight dinner. It was very pretty and he even had soft, romantic music playing.  It was a great night! Thanks babe for all your hard work!  (I know your reading this:)



Potty Training...

....thats what I have been doing.  Today starts day 3. Lillie has been doing GREAT!!! Day 1 was a little tough, but by that evening and into day 2 she was catching on quickly. On day 2 she came in my room early and woke me up wanting to put on her undies. She only had 2 accidents all day yesterday. She hasn't had any so far today. Yeah Lillie!!!
I absolutly HATE potty training. It is the worst thing about parenting so far to me. Lillie is actually enjoying being a BIG girl so thats great.
Not alot else is going on except the usual stuff like school, cleaning, cooking, disciplining the children, you know all the fun stuff. I am very greatful for my family. I wouldn't trade any of it for anything!

Great Weekend

On Friday we did our usual stuff like school, cleaning house and so on. That evening we grabbed a bite to eat at McDonalds before buying some groceries.
Saturday I got up around 7:30 and began working on the house doing the last minute touches like changing bed sheets and finishing up on laundry before our company arrived. What company, you ask?? Our Regional Overseer and his family arrived Saturday around 5:30. We had decided to grill bbq chicken breast having no idea it was suppose to snow. Dustin said he still wanted too so we grilled in the snow. We had corn on the cob, deviled eggs, baked beans, and chips to go with our chicken. We had cherry and blueberry pie for dessert. It was all very yummy! We just sat around and talked until about 1am. It had continued to snow all night. I woke up at 7am this morning to find all the roads covered. We went back and forth about whether or not we should cancel church because it wasn't letting up and the forcast was for snow until 5pm. We decided to try to get there. Once we started there it wasn't as bad a little further down south so we thought that we would have a short SS lesson and worship and then have the Regional Overseer preach and get back home before it got worse. Just as we was about to start church, a guy named Dave and his wife and three kids came in. Dustin decided to go ahead and have regular service. Dave had been telling Dustin for weeks that he and his wife was going to come some Sunday soon. I couldn't believe out of all Sundays they came today, but PRAISE GOD!! We had a really good SS lesson and worship service. Then, Br. Clarkson preached an EXCELLENT message about God's deliverance for soul and body in the Atonement. It was great. Our visitors really seemed to enjoy the services. It was truly great having them and I pray God will touch their hearts and they will come back. Please pray for this family, Dave and Barb Leary. When church was over the roads had almost completely dried up and the Clarksons and ourselves came home. I had a ham in the oven that was smelling yummy when we got home. We had green beans, salad, rolls, mashed potatoes, and ham for lunch. We visited until around 4pm and then the Clarksons headed back to Brush so Br. Clarkson could work tomorrow. We had a great time visiting with them. They are great people and we love and appreciate them.

More pictures that I said I would post. Sorry it's taken soooo long but it's my WMB service and I have been preparing for that. They played and played outside. They were replaying and acting out scenes from Red Ryder. It was hilarious to watch. Isaac was Red Ryder, Caleb was Josh Randall(not on red ryder), Luke was little Beaver, Abbie was Mollie, Aleah was the sheriff, and Zeke was different things. He actually played inside alot of the time with Lille. I happen to take some pics the little bit of time that him and Lillie were out there. They mostly played whatever.

Fun Times!!

While Br. Jon and Sis. Emilee went to Estes Park for their anniversay we kept their kiddos. All the kids were so excited to be together. They played so many different things and dressed up in soooooo many different costumes. Everytime one of them came down they were some new identity. It was great! We had chili dogs and frito chili pie for dinner and then funfetti cake for dessert. I think it was a hit. We watched a few movies at different times, some Red Ryder and Heidi. The kids played outside alot acting out Red Ryder sences. It was fun to watch them. That evening we had lasagna, green beans, and french bread with sundaes for dessert with m&m's, snickers, reeses pieces, hot fudge, caramel, strawberry and chocolate toppings. We had a great time!
